Personally I don't oil the bearings as they leave because as I say, it doesn't do them much good in the long run, especially an expensive ceramic bearing.

What you CAN do to make it spin faster is to put a little oil (like, a single drop) in it. It's a little sticky as lubricant goes but with time, it loosens up.
